Hello hello, so has you've all noticed I've closed the online store, all the photos will remain on the website for everyone to view buuut if you wish to purchase an item you must e-mail me.

So many things have happened since my last post and I've but meaning to post sooner but my online has been yet again down. Which really really sucks! My birthday has past and I am now 21! Finally I can go out with my older sister and party! Awesome! I've also been givin; the title as Bakery manager at work! Crazy right? my boss is taking the whole summer off which no one saw coming but she has a doctors note so I guess she needs it.

ConnectiCon 2010 was this weekend. It was amazing! Smaller than Anime Boston but still just as fun! Well the first day was fun! the second day there was a gun scare....someone found 'live ammo' on the hallway floor. So everyone with a gun was checked and checked again. The head out ecurity in the place went through all my ammos belts and made me take off my backpack. If was kinda scarey...they thought we had REAL guns! >_< and they were not to nice about the whole thing either. So I changed out of my mando for the day and wore my Siri Tachi out and about, I've never worn it to a Con before! Oh and the RL and 501st where not at the COn this year, i was kinda sad about that. But we did two boba Fetts walking around and a Dath Vader.

All and All it was a good day. Now the race is on to find some of the photos.

The dealers room was a bit small this year...or maybe that was me. Oh and the Mercs didn't have a table this year b/c I never got an e-mail back from COnnectiCon ...I snet six e-mails and only the first one got a response and it didn't asnwer my question. Oh well. Next year...

Oh I've found a love for Steam Punk...this is the first year I've been interested in how they make some of the clothes and watches/badges/guns ECT.

Also I'm making a secoond kit....the orange and brown kit was a bit of a failure.....as much as I hate to think about it. lol Its going to Brown and Red. I've had it all drawn out and I'm purchased the belts, new chest plates and brown boots.

Hopfully I'll have more Item for the store soon. I'm think of maybe coming up with a name buut I'm not sure what.... Ideas?

I've found a new love for the show Glee of FOX. Watching people sing their hearts out makes me inspired to do something great, by great I mean create a costume or work on a costume, ...

Which I havn't been doing at all lately. I've got a ton of costumes started but I havn't been working on anything. Just not in the mood. To much stress at work, enough is ever good enough and working with teenagers who don't care about their jobs really sucks.

Sorry about not posting anything new for the 'female mando how to' again just not in the mood. PLus on top of that now I'm sick which never helps.

Firaxan Clan did go to an event, a birthday party for an nine year old boy. It went well, the parents were great they asked all kinds of questions.

We have more coming up with the 501st. We can't wait,

Seven Days : No Day off

So the internet has been down for two days now at my house, I’ve decided to go ahead and write an update. It’s been nothing but rain this week here in Rhode Island, good weather to keep everyone inside and clean. I’ve been cleaning out the spare room both my brother and I share together; he has most of the room and uses for video games. I just keep my costume rack in the corner and some items in a draw.

We have the Laser Gate event coming up on May 8th, this is a team event with the 501st and Rebel Legion. I’m wicked excited for this event. I’m happy that the 501st invited us to do this with them. I know that there are some Star Wars fans that frown upon custom mandalorians. We've also been asked to come to the second blood drive they are hosting. All the info is located in the calendar area.

For updates on costumes in progress, as you’ve seen I’ve been working on some Venture Brothers costumes. I love that series. Triana is the receptionist from the latest series of the Venture Brothers. I don’t know if I’ll wear this to a con but I do love the costume and wig. I made the dress and hat, the headset was an old Xbox 360 model that was broken. I’ve also started working on putting together an S.T.A.R.S. Raccoon City Police Dept. officer costume. I’ve only got a one piece so far but it’ll be awesome in the end. I’ve also started working on the Zelda dress again, I’ve put it off due to money issues but I found some white fabric while I was cleaning out the spare room and I used that for the skirt part. Zelda is still a long way to go before I post any photos or anything but it’s slowing coming together.

I posted pictures of the female tuskie. I also posted those photos on the rebel legion boards for feed back. The mask part looks to small is the general agreement on that one. I n=think I'm going to redo the top part and see where that takes me. I'm really happy with how everything is holding up. I had my doubts.

It has been a whole week of me not having a day off and I dont get one till Saturday.. fml. We have a new kid working during the night to close the bakery and I have to train him. Because is the boss's son and their no one else to train him.... wonderful. Hes a nice kid, picks up on things quick....but i have a feeling this is his first real job and hes never done someheavy lifting before. ... owell we'll make the best out of it. Last night of awful...but I hope tonight will be better and that we get out on time....

I hate training people, but my boss makes me do it. She said theres no one better...thats abull! She just soften me up so I'll say yes. damnit!

I've been slowly working on a medpack over the pass few months. It still needs some sanding...but with a power sander not my hands. lol I think thats been the big issue for me, not having the power tools I need. My birthday is coming up I wonder if i drop some hits now... lol lets hope.

Its been so nice out! Sunshine and blue skies I've been getting a ton of gardenin done. I'm re-doing the flower garden on the side of my house. Its coming along nicely if I do say so myself.

This is the medpack. Still missin' a few things and some battle damage. But here it is.

Boston Comic Con 2010

BOSTON COMIC CON was amazing! I've been waiting and waiting to get a photo with Cpt. Rex! I had no idea there was a Cody there! :D :D I was one happy fan girl! DO YOU SEE THOSE GUNS!? :3

OKay i know I said we might not be going to Boston Comic Con and I didn't think we were buut we drove up to Boston Saturday night to see some good friends (who just got married!! :) COngrats again you guys!) We started a game of settlers of Catan, awesome game. We stopped but left everything set up for the next day to finish playing!. On Sunday we walked to the Westin Hotel...it was about a 35-40min walk in the wind and heat. It was fine in normal clothes but it would have been a death march if we were in armor. That and I'm sure the cops would have an issue with our guns. hahaha.

When we got there I was super sad that we didn't bring our kits.... :( there were so many people in the room. So many talented artists! O.O insanly good ones! Therkk and myself hung out with the 501st group talked costumes and then we bugged the new england ghost ghosters! They were wicked nice!

Now for the updates yeah!

I've been working on a new kit. My 2nd female armor for me. The color theme is based on the Firaxan shark from SW.

So here are some progess photos. Nice colors huh? How about that weathering ??? I stilll need to work on all the soft parts...and boots. Oh joy! Happy day.

This is the Jetpack! I ran out of bondo.... soon It will be finished! I hope to get this done for the Laser Tag event that is coming up. I havn't worked on my female tusken raider....I should be doing that. I just need to get the mask done.

Anime Boston 2010

Anime Boston 2010 was better than I thought is was going to be. The Mercs had a huge turn out! What an amazing time, I can't wait for 2011. The great thing about walking around the con all day was meeting the people and fans. I didn't get to hand out to many cards but a lot of people were like ' how do I get armor like that!?'

Oh I updated the 'how to armor' section on my site. :D i know i know about time. I've been up since 4am today worked at the bakery till 2pm and then came home to work on a new set of armor till 6pm. What a great day. :D and its 84 degrees out right now, amazing!

I need to update the calendar....I have more then just one event this month. Blah.

So C5 is not going to happen for me this year. My car shit the bed and the bill was $964... yeah so no more C5 plans. Gone, bye bye. hahhaa. Theres alway next time it comes around....and its in the US....oh dear.

All costumes shopping materials have been put on hold till I paid off that bill. ... Its awful.

Hitting the Wall

I got a huge amount of work done on my friend's new kit at the armor party. This is the first time I've built female armor from sintra and I think I did a good job, along with the help from my friend Alex. I didn't take any photos but I do plan on making more armor in the near future, just not now.

With Anime Boston 2010 next week, planning the trip, working at the bakery, getting more then one costume done at a time, my car shitting the bed today and me being sick. This week really sucks....

We stil don't know if C5 is going to happen, I really want to go but now with my car going to in the shop I don't think that will be happening. ... :/ idk yet.

Female Tusken Raider update - Which should be done very soon. Though I do plan on making another mask the looks better then 1.0.

I have the 'bib' almost done. Attacting it to the cloth behind it is being tricky. But i'm going to research some more on how other pple have done it. then I'll post and update. The boots are just rain boots from Walmart ($17) size 3 in children. Tiny I know. I love how the warpping look on boots. I sprayed them down with brown dye in a spray bottle to give them that dirty look.

Armor Party and MDA ride & stride

Firaxan CLAN'S first armor party was March 20, 2010. We had a good turn out here in RI. A huga amount of work got done and I was happy to see everyone and t o put a face to the fourm names.!

Sunday, 21 March 2010 the Firaxan Clan was asked to accompany a local family from Rhode Island whose son has been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy. This will be his second year supporting this organization and his first year walking in the fundraiser which was located at Mohegan Sun Casino/Hotel.

It was a wonderful weekend filled with events! Now its back to the grind. Two more word weeks until Anime Boston 2010. We're all excited and can't wait!

Oh oh I an official Member of the Rebel Legion - thats half of my New Years goal. Soon the 501st.

Super busy

Hey everyone! I've been super busy with work and new projects!! I've been working on so much stuff I think its time to make a master list and start finishing things.

Where to begin! Ah yes, a woman I work with is attending a family party with a 50s theme. She asked me if I could make her daugther and her poodle skirts, easy enough? right, Of course I said yes....then today she comes into work and asks me how I would feel about doing 10 more. money in the bank people!! Excited!

Thats not until August.

C5...speaking of August is a go for Firaxan Squad (soon to be official clan) . Threkk Gellar and myself will be going with two other friends, who are not part of the MMCC but still love Star Wars. So thats a go.

Mara Jade shin guards are out of the molds. I re-casted them ..not sure if I'm happy with them or not. They still need some work. The Jumpsuit has been giving me hell. I'm thinking of just paying for a body suit.

I've been working on a Reccon helmet from Halo - ODST. its coming along pretty well, I did mess up on the size but i think i can make it work. I put like 10 hours into the helmet already and thats just the first thing to do. Next i need to fiber glass and resin the shit out of it. blah Maybe next week.

Those genrades I re-painted came out nice I'll post some photos in the gallery area. I've been quilting more, still working on that same yellow quilt tho. Its sure a pain, little by ittle and it'll be done.

i've been working on an Old Republic Jedi outift for the Rebel Legion, I was asking to troop with the 501st on Sat the 13th at that South Boston day Parade - St. Patricks day. But Mara isn't nearly done soo I'm going as a Jedi. Works for me.

My goal this year is to become a member of both the Rebel Legion and the 501st. Almost there. sooon.

Hello everyone! As you all may have know (if you looked at the upcoming events at the bottom of the right side bar) that TempleCon was this weekend, well we only went for Saturday. My boyfriend and myself went as Mandos, we got dressed in the parking lot (it was snowing lightly, awful) We were meeting AdamScottFM, hes new to the Mercs but he is a local 501st member, hes in charge of Public Relations. It was nice to meet and spend the day with him, even if we were just walking around and talking. Super nice guy!

We got an interview with Rhode Island Science Fiction Club (RISFC.org) nothing to big, just basic questions on the armour, locations of next events, what orgazation we were part of. Simple things. We gave him our card so he'd link us the video when it airs. When it does air I'l link it here too.

It was a good day, we just walked on in and no one said boo about it. Well with Scorch behind us I guess its abit intimidating.

Oh yea. Badass right?

Jb's kit needs lots of improvements...little things that we really need to work on now before he troops again. Mine? well I want to add two genrades (with blinky lights green and red), I also re-painted my pistols. Which I think I'm gonna keep as my photo taken gun. .. I mean I'm tiny and if I start carryin around a big gun with me. .. Idk its a thought.

Its easy to hand out cards when you don't have anything in you hand also.

Mercs News: We are one official member short of being a Clan. Soon though very soon. All together we have 13 members of Friaxan Squad, I;m excited at how much we have grown in the last month or two.

I've also started an account on the 501st New England Garrison (NEG) I hope to complete my Mara Jade costume by the end of April. The shin guards still need a lot of work.

I'm super excited for the armour party in March!! it should be awesome!!

Okay so yesterday I left off with the plaster of paris drying. Now I got the black resin cast from the same company as before. Also remember to spray the mold with the silicone mold release!!! IMPORTANT! :D

OKay so I got really really messy with the mixing. Now I mixed both equal amounts of part A and B stirred and poured into the mold....and kept turning the liquid into the mold until it became a solid which didn't take long at all. I did two layers to make sure it was thick enough...in some places aleast. hahaha

Please wear gloves, you don't want this stuff on your hands.

I set and cure time for the Resin was 15 minutes. ....So aftter 15 minutes went by I started to pop the black resin out of the pink silicone, which was hard with the plaster of paris keep it perfect. So I started breaking the plaster off of the silicone, it came off wicked easy. After the silicone was free of the plaster the black resin popped right out. ...and the silicone mold lied flat on the table. :(

There is a nice photo of everything so far. The mother mold (white), Silicone mold (pink), and the Resin cast (black) ....which came out a lot thinner then I wanted it to. But I was running out of product. soooo it'll do for now.
